Rewrite Your Resume

Rewrite Your ResumeDo you need to rewrite your resume to make it more appealing? In this article I will go over the steps to take to make it more appealing.Writing a resume may seem like a breeze, but it is not as easy as you may think. People often don't realize how much time they have spent on their resume. Many times they just skip some sections or don't fully understand what is going on. This can make them not want to see it again after it is all done. The best thing to do is to clean up the old resume and get it ready for the rewrite. There are a few steps that you can take to do this.First, remove all of the headers and any names. Try to include only a name and a title. If there is any information left that can be used to reference who they are or what they do, then include it at the bottom of the page. For instance, if you are writing about what they did in school you would put something along the lines of, 'graduated from. '.Second, try to make your paragraphs shorter and to t he point. This will help avoid spending too much time on the main body of the resume. They want to make sure that the resume is easy to read and you can get right to what you are looking for when filling out an application.Third, you will need to change the layout. You can include a resource box at the bottom of the page and some additional material at the top of the page. These can help you in making your resume more interesting and not boring. I like to place things like the four-step interview on the top of the page. These are just a few tips to take a look at. The important thing is to start the rewrite today and don't wait until your resume comes in the mail. Make it more appealing and you will see that it is easier to get noticed.
